How long have you been in business? I have been a consultant with Arbonne since Nov. 2002 but did not start building this as a business until Jan. 2004.
Why did you decide to become a work at Home Mom? I wanted to be their for my daughter the way my mother was their for me. My mother started working out of the home when I was 10 and my two brothers never got to expierence the things that I did. You could see a differance in there progress and grades through their school years. I also wanted the freedom I never seen my parents and grandparents have. Freedom to sleep in if they did not feel well. Freedom to plan trips with out asking for permission. I was never really good at working for someone else. I needed to have control of my life.
Why did you chose the business you chose? Arbonne is my first and last direct sales company. I signed up to get the products at a discount because I tried them and they cleared up my eczema. Then I tried them on my daughter and they cleared up hers. I then seen all the great things about the company and started to have more interest in it. I loved the fact that I had no monthly minimums or inventory at consultant level, it only costed me $29 to start and the products were pure, safe and benefical. I loved the fact that I could make money helping others and earn a Merecedes Benz, trips, jewelry and more. Everyone in Arbonne were like family. Always there for each other. I needed to be a part of this!
What's been the hardest part about being a Work at Home Mom? Getting people to recognize that this is my businesss, not a hobby. This is what I do to make a living, not something I play with. I have alot of family members that will call and say hey, your the only person not working Monday so can you go pick this up or do this for me? I am working, although nine times out of ten if I can make room in my schedule to do it, I will.
What's been the best part about being a work at home mom? I believe I am less stressed. If the school calls and their is a problem with my daughter, I answer the phone and do not have to ask for permission to go get her. If she has a doctors apointment I do not have to ask in advance to take her. I am more financially secure. The harder I work, the better I get paid.
If you could give other work at home moms 1 piece of advice what would it be? Find what makes you happy and puts the fire in your soul to achieve all your dreams!
