How long have you been in business? I've been a work at home mom since 1998 - over 6 years!
Why did you decide to become a work at Home Mom? I knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom when I had my daughter, but I wanted to have my own income as well. I also wanted to have some adult contact - and I wanted something fun to do!
Why did you chose the business you chose? I chose Discovery Toys because I wanted every toy in the catalog for my children. I love the selection of toys, and I love the flexibility of direct sales! I purchased WAH Shoppers Haven in August 2004 - I want to be able to help other work at home parents build their businesses through affordable online advertising and other various work at home resources.
What's been the hardest part about being a Work at Home Mom? Keeping balance - there are days I struggle with working vs. parenting. Also, being my own boss - there are days that I slack and if I had a boss, someone else would keep me on track!
What's been the best part about being a work at home mom? Flexibility and being able to parent my children all the time/ full time.
If you could give other work at home moms 1 piece of advice what would it be? Find a business or product line that you love, working from home is great - but it is work!
